Nyland Brigade is the only brigade where training is given in Swedish. The brigade is located in Dragsvik, near Ekenäs. Its purpose is to educate soldiers for battle in coastal- and archipelagoenvironment. The brigade consists of: Headquarters, Vasa Coastal Jaeger Battalion, Raseborg Coastal Artillery Battalion, NCO School and the Logistics Centre. There are approximately 900 men and 20 women receiving their military education in Dragsvik. About 1% of the men and women who serve in Dragsvik live abroad, 35% come from Vasa, 28% from Nyland, 17% from Helsingfors, 17% from Åbo and Björneborgs Military Province.
