Wartime composition
The unit training started during military service is continued in companies and battalions as the reservists
are called up for refresher training about five years from being mustered out.
The general objectives of reservist training:
to train of personnel and units wartime troops fit for combat and to maintain and update the reservists' military skills
100 days
Officers and NCOs can be ordered to refresher training for 100 days and the rank and file for 75 or 40 days.
Individual and unit courses
In refresher training for individual tasks, reservists attend courses on leadership and special tasks. In command-post
and field-training exercises the deployed personnel receive training for the wartime composition.
At five-year intervals
The aim is to train the most important wartime units at intervals of 5 years.
The average duration of the exercises is approximately 5 days and nights.
